From Madame Web, starring Dakota Johnson in titular role, to Bhool Chuk Maaf, starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, among others, OTT platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar and more, has something for everyone. So, grab your popcorn and watch these movies and web series from the comfort of your home this weekend.
Friday OTT Releases (May 16)
Madame Web (Sony LIV)
The 2024 American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character of the same name, is all set for its digital debut. It stars Dakota Johnson in the title role, alongside Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, Celeste O'Connor, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, Emma Roberts, and Adam Scott. The movie did not sit well with the audience and critics, thereby turning into a box office failure. Madame Web grossed just $100.5 million worldwide against a net production budget of $80 million.
The Quilters (Netflix)
This award-winning short documentary is all set for its OTT release. The story is about men in a Missouri maximum-security prison who design and sew beautiful, personalised quilts for foster children. The Quilters will be available to watch on Netflix from Friday.
Hai Junoon (JioHotstar)
Starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles, Hai Junoon! Dare. Dominate. Is an Indian musical drama television series. It has been directed by Abhishek Sharma and bankrolled under the Jio Creative Lab. It also stars Sumedh Mudgalkar, Siddharth Nigam, Boman Irani and Priyank Sharma in pivotal roles.
Dear Hongrang (Netflix)
The South Korean mystery melodrama sageuk television series has been written by Kim Jin-ah and directed by Kim Hong-sun. It stars Lee Jae-wook and Jo Bo-ah in lead roles. The series follows how Jae-yi searches and uncover the truth behind Hong-rang's disappearance and the man claiming to be him.
