Globetrotter: The excitement for SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film Globetrotter has reached new heights as the makers officially announced popular YouTuber and comedian Ashish Chanchlani as the host of the grand launch event. The announcement came with a quirky and entertaining video featuring both Rajamouli and Ashish, which has now taken social media by storm. The event, set to take place on November 15 at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, promises to be one of the biggest celebrations in Indian cinema.

In the fun announcement clip shared on X (formerly Twitter), Ashish Chanchlani bursts into a room claiming that someone has “kidnapped” him and stolen his passport, a hilarious reference to Rajamouli’s earlier viral joke where he “confiscated” Mahesh Babu’s passport during the film’s announcement. Moments later, Ashish finds SS Rajamouli calmly waiting for him. When he demands an explanation, the director coolly replies, “Hamare yahan aisa hi hota hai” . The video ends with Rajamouli smiling and saying, “See you at the event,” officially confirming Ashish’s role as the host. The makers shared the video with the caption, “So here we go! @ashchanchlani will host @thetrilight presents the #GlobetrotterEvent. November 15, gear up for an exhilarating day of something spectacular.”

Globetrotter Movie’s Hyderabad Event

The ‘Globetrotter’ teaser and first look will be unveiled on a massive 130 ft x 100 ft screen which is the largest ever used for a film reveal in India. The mega event, hosted at Ramoji Film City, will see over 50,000 fans in attendance and will also be livestreamed on JioHotstar at 7 PM. SS Rajamouli recently shared a short video outlining safety measures and entry protocols to ensure smooth crowd management during the launch.

Meanwhile, Globetrotter also known as SSMB29, stars Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles. The film, described as a high-octane adventure drama inspired by Indiana Jones and classic exploration tales, marks one of the most ambitious cinematic projects in Indian film history. Adding to the growing buzz, the makers recently unveiled Priyanka Chopra’s first look as Mandakini marking her much-awaited return to Indian cinema.
