Golmaal 5 Update: Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn are one of Bollywood’s most iconic director-actor duos, having collaborated for decades. They have delivered several masterpieces with cinematic experiences. Their collaboration credits include Golmaal, All the Best, the Singham franchise, Bol Bachchan, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi. Now, they are set to reunite once again for Golmaal 5, the fifth instalment in the popular Golmaal franchise. Rohit is reportedly set to begin shooting for Golmaal 5 after wrapping up the Rakesh Maria biopic starring John Abraham. The upcoming instalment is slated to go on floors in early 2026.

Is Golmaal 5 In Works?

As per latest buzz, the fifth instalment of the Golmaal franchise is in the pipeline. Marking the reunion of Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn for their 14th collaboration. "Rohit Shetty is presently shooting for the Rakesh Maria biopic with John Abraham in Mumbai. The film will be wrapped up by September 2025, and the filmmaker is aiming to lock the edit by the end of this year, for an early 2026 release. Right after completing work on the Rakesh Maria Biopic, Rohit moves on to the prep of Golmaal FIVE, and take it on floors by February/March 2026," stated by Pinkvilla report.

The source also revealed that the basic plot of Golmaal 5 is locked and the work on the script is underway. “A fresh set of writers are working on the script of Golmaal FIVE, which is expected to be locked by September 2025, not-withstanding the dialogues and polishing work,” the source stated.

Golmaal 5 will not only mark Ajay's reunion with director but also with his gang. Reportedly, Arshad Warsi, Tushar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, and Johnny Lever are also joining the upcoming movie. The comic caper is expected to hit silver screens in the first half of 2027.

The comedy film series debuted in the year 2006 and since then Rohit Shetty's directorial has created a special fan fans for the franchise. The first film was followed by three sequels, Golmaal Returns in 2008, Golmaal 3 in 2010 and Golmaal Again in 2017.
