Golmaal 5 Updates: Bollywood’s most successful comedy franchise is gearing up for a new instalment, Golmaal 5. Ajay Devgn will mark his return along with the original cast- Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu and Shreyas Talpade. As per the latest updates, Akshay Kumar has joined the franchise. He is expected to play an antagonist opposite Ajay Devgn in Golmaal 5. This will mark the reunion of Akshay and Ajay, but this time they will star in opposing roles.

Akshay Kumar To Join Ajay Devgn In Golmaal 5?

According to Variety India report, Rohit Shetty's Golmaal 5 is set to be bigger and grander in scale with an even higher dose of chaos, while sticking to its signature humour with fantasy elements and a fresh narrative. Akshay Kumar, who has been a part of three major comedy franchises in the past- Hera Pheri, Housefull, and Welcome, will be the latest addition to the Golmaal franchise. He will reportedly step into the role of the main villain. 

Golmaal 5 is expected to go on floors at the end of February in Mumbai’s Film City, and is likely to release in early 2027. As per reports, Akshay Kumar, who is gearing up for Anees Bazmee’s comedy film with Vidya Balan, will join Golmaal 5 after wrapping up that project.

Akshay Kumar And Ajay Devgn’s Collaborations

Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn have collaborated in several films, including Suhaag, Khakee, Insan, Sooryavanshi, and Singham Again. Golmaal 5 will mark their sixth collaboration together. Besides Golmaal 5, Akshay will also be seen playing the antagonist in Priyadarshan’s Haiwaan, co-starring Saif Ali Khan.

Golmaal 5 Cast

Rohit Shetty's comedy film series debuted in 2006 and has carved its own niche in the genre. The first film was followed by three sequels, Golmaal Returns in 2008, Golmaal 3 in 2010 and Golmaal Again in 2017. The upcoming fifth instalment, Golmaal 5, will feature Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Mukesh Tiwari and Ashwini Kalsekar.

Several reports suggest that Kareena Kapoor Khan, who appeared in Golmaal Returns and Golmaal 3, is in discussions to return to the franchise. Sharman Joshi is also likely to make a comeback in Golmaal 5.
