Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa is the latest celebrity to join the debate surrounding Diljit Dosanjh's Sardaar Ji 3, which has been embroiled in controversy for featuring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. Since, the trailer dropped, the film sparked outrage in the country due to casting of Pakistani actors amid the ongoing cross-border tension. Diljit and the makers of the film are defending themselves, stating that they shot the film prior to the conflict with Pakistan. However, Diljit's collaboration with Hania has not been well received and the actor has been receiving backlash for the same. Guru Randhawa shared a cryptic post about Indian artists forgetting the place they were born.
On Thursday, Guru Randhawa took to his X handle and shared a post without mentioning Diljit's name but fans connected with the latter's Sardaar Ji 3 controversy. He wrote in Punjabi, which read, "Lakh pardesi hoyieee. Apna desh nhi bhandi daa. Jehre mulk da khayie us da bura nhi mangi da. Even if now your citizenship is not Indian but you were born here pls remember this. This country made great artists and we all are proud of it. Pls be proud of where you were born. Just an advice. Now don't start controversy again and manipulate indians LOL. PR bigger thn artist."

His latest post garnered a mixed reaction from netizens. Some users praised him for calling out while others questioned his own songs like Lahore. One comment read, "What was 'Lagdi Lahore di aa'? When you could have easily replaced the word Lahore with Ayodhya, Gorakhpur or Nagpur. Epicentre of nationalism." Another user posted, "Says the one who sang the song 'LAHORE'."

This a follow-up of his post on June 25, where the Naach Meri Rani hitmaker took a subtle dig at Diljit's controversy and called the PR game stronger than talent itself.
His post read, "When the PR team is more talented than the talent itself, controversies become part of the daily routine. The day is near when our people will open their eyes and know the truth. LOL. 1st of every month, dropping bombs. God bless the fake PR and the artists."

Diljit Dosanjh Reacts To Sardaar Ji 3 Controversy
Diljit starrer is set for a June 27 international release, skipping the Indian theatrical run amid tension between India and Pakistan. In a recent interview with BBC Asian Network, he said, “Jab yeh film bani thi tab situation theek tha. We shot this in February. Then a lot of things happened which were beyond our control. The producers knew that the film would not release in India, and so they decided to release it overseas. Producers ka bahot paisa laga hai. Even when I signed the film, everything was fine. Now, the situation is not in our hands. So if the producers want to release it abroad, I support them."
From film bodies asking for a ban on Diljit Dosanjh and Sardaar Ji 3 to industry members like Mika Singh slamming Diljit for working with Hania Aamir, the ongoing row has been taking new turns.
