Haq Cast Fee: Suparn Verma's Haq, a hard-hitting new courtroom drama, debuted in theaters on November 7th. The film, produced by Junglee Pictures, Insomnia Films, and Baweja Studios, stars Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi in pivotal roles. Inspired on the real-life Supreme Court case of Shah Bano Begum vs. Mohammed Ahmed Khan, which reshaped India's personal law, Haq delivers a riveting blend of emotion, justice, and social reflection.
Haq stars Yami Gautam taking on the role of Shah Bano Begum, a woman who fights injustice, while Emraan Hashmi plays her husband, Mohammed Ahmed Khan. Inspired by Jigna Vora's book Bano: Bharat Ki Beti, the film is a fictitious yet emotionally charged account of true events. With its moving story, emotional performances, and strong social message, Haq serves as a heartbreaking reminder of one woman's fortitude in challenging the system and sparking a national discourse about gender equality and justice.
Following the release of Haq, a report revealed the cast members' salaries for the courtroom drama, directed by Suparn S Varma.

Haq Cast Fee Revealed!
The male and female actors in Haq were paid equally for their parts, as per a report by News24. Emraan Hashmi has been compensated with Rs 12 crore for the part, while Yami Gautam, who stars in the film as Shazia, has received the same amount for her brilliant performance in the courtroom drama. The veteran actor Sheeba Chaddha, who plays Shazia's lawyer, was given Rs 1 crore for her role in the movie.
Why Did Haq Spark Controversy?
Haq, starring Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi, sparked controversy far before its release. In applications filed in the High Court, Shah Bano's daughter, Siddiqua Begum, and her family sought a stop on the release of the courtroom drama. They complained to the content displayed in the teaser and trailer for Haq, claiming that it is a 'breach of their privacy' and that the movie was filmed without their consent.
Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam's captivating performances in Haq highlight the tenacity and resilience of a woman battling for her rights, making it one of this year's most impactful and thought-provoking Bollywood films.
