About Haq
The movie is inspired by the landmark Supreme Court judgement, it is the story of a woman`s fight for her rights and justice. Haq focuses on Shazia Bano, who takes her husband Abbas to court after he abandons her and their children. This sparked a national battle over faith, women`s rights and justice. Haq features Yami Gautam, Emraan Hashmi, Sheeba Chaddha and Vartika Singh in pivotal roles. It has been directed by Suparn Verma and produced by Junglee Pictures.
