How To Train Your Dragon OTT Release: The film was a monumental box office hit and a critical triumph. It surpassed the initial expectations to become one of the highest-grossing films of the year, proving that a beloved animated tale could also resonate with people. It is a live-action remake of the 2010 animated movie of the same name. From the trailer release to the theatrical one, the buzz surrounding the movie never faded. Gerard Butler reprised his role as Stoick the Vast, the Viking chief and Hiccup's father, after originally voicing the character in the animated franchise.

How to Train Your Dragon hit the theatres on June 13 this year. Months later, the live-action movie landed on the OTT platform for purchase or rental on July 15, 2025. Now, there is good news for the fans, as Universal Pictures’ How To Train Your Dragon has been made available on the OTT platform Peacock from October 10. Interestingly, the makers have also released the first two parts of the trilogy to give their fans a complete experience of movie watching. The audience will also get to witness 90 minutes of bonus content from the live-action movie, including some deleted scenes.

In the live-action remake of How to Train Your Dragon, a young Viking outcast named Hiccup finds himself unable to kill a rare and injured Night Fury dragon. He affectionately names him Toothless. Defying his tribe's tradition of dragon-slaying, Hiccup unknowingly forms a deep friendship with the dragon and helps it fly again after building a prosthetic flying tail fin. His secret friendship eventually comes out, which leads to a powerful climax where Hiccup and his friends must convince the Vikings that dragons are misunderstood and that they should unite with them to defeat the parasitic ‘Red Death’ dragon. This unlikely alliance builds a new, peaceful future between Vikings and dragons.
