Hridayapoorvam Vs Lokah Box Office Collection: Two of the most eagerly awaited Malayalam releases of 2025, Hridayapoorvam and Lokah Chapter: 1 Chandra, arrived in cinemas worldwide on August 28, sparking major excitement among audiences. The films, though different in theme and tone, are both drawing attention from moviegoers and the industry alike. Early box office tracking including advance bookings and first-day show reservations provides an insight into how strongly audiences are responding, even before the full-fledged collection reports come in. With big stars, renowned directors, and unique storylines, both films are being closely watched to see which one gains the upper hand.

From early reports, both films opened to strong pre-release interest. According to box office tracker What The Fuss, Hridayapoorvam recorded advance bookings worth over Rs 1.60 crore from 1,224 tracked shows, making it the fourth biggest pre-sale of 2025. Lokah Chapter: 1 Chandra, on the other hand, earned around Rs 79 lakh from 964 shows, drawing 44,460 admissions with an occupancy rate of 19.43%. In a recent update from Kerala Box Office, Lokah reportedly overtook Hridayapoorvam in hourly bookings on Book My Show for the first time. This highlights the growing influence of word-of-mouth buzz and online chatter in shaping audience choices. With screenings continuing and reactions pouring in on social media, the next few days will be crucial in determining which of these two very different films takes the box office lead. While Hridayapoorvam banks on family emotions and Mohanlal’s mass appeal, Lokah is attracting younger viewers with its edgy concept and cinematic universe promise. Industry observers believe both films may find their own audiences, making this a win-win weekend for Malayalam cinema.
