“I Expected It To Do Well”: Aryan Khan On His Debut Series Ba***ds Of Bollywood’s Massive Success

Aryan Khan made his directorial debut with The Ba***ds Of Bollywood and ever since, he has been shining like a star. His debut work was enjoyed by the audience as he delivered fresh and entertaining content in a unique style that was truly binge-worthy. Keeping the acclaim he received in mind, IMDb ranked Aryan Khan as the second most popular Indian director of 2025 after Mohit Suri for his movie, Saiyaara. As someone who has just worked on his first project, this recognition is a huge milestone for Aryan.

Aryan Khan, while talking to GQ, opened up about his experience as a director and how he felt after receiving the crazy amount of appreciation from the audience. He said, "I’m extremely grateful, as a creator, the biggest reward is people enjoying what you’ve poured your heart into. I did expect it to do well, and I’m not saying this out of arrogance, but belief. If I don’t believe in the project as the director, who will?"

Aryan further added, "I would’ve been disappointed if it hadn’t.” He also urged the audience to rewatch the series if they had watched it in the first week of its release and said, “If you binged it in the first week, you should rewatch it. There are jokes people miss because one punchline overlaps with the next.”
