Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana has posted for the first time post her wedding postponement with singer Palaash Muchhal. Amid the ongoing buzz, Mandhana shared a new Instagram post on Friday as part of a paid promotion for a leading toothpaste brand. But what really grabbed fans’ attention was the absence of her engagement ring. It remains unclear whether the ad was filmed before the engagement, yet the post has sparked widespread discussion on social media.
Her fans soon took to the comments section and dropped reactions. A fan wrote, "Why it feels like she is sad ,she is smiling but her voice and her eyes looks she is sad and she is not wearing her engagement ring," another one commented, "Waitedd for soo long, finally queen is back," a netizen wrote, "Don't know when you shooted this may be it's after that all scene....let it be we want our queen back as like just before with that smile with that dedication about playing cricket more wins...full support to you girlll proud of you keep going keep it up," while others also dropped similar reactions.
Smriti has also taken down all wedding-related posts from her social media, further fueling speculation. Both families have clarified that the postponement was solely due to medical emergencies, and Palash’s mother, Amita, has expressed hope that the wedding will happen soon.

So far, neither Smriti nor Palaash has released an official statement regarding the circulating cheating rumours. Their only joint public action has been a subtle update to their Instagram profiles, where they both added an evil-eye emoji. This modification appears to be their indirect response to the ongoing negativity and intense speculation directed at them.
On Thursday, Palaash's sister Palak Muchhal talked about the ongoing controversy for the first time. Palak revealed that it is a difficult time for both the families and they are trying to come out of this difficult phase together. Palash's sister described it as a difficult time for them. She noted, "I think the families have been through a very, very tough time, and I would just want to repeat that we would like to believe in positivity in this time and spread positivity as much as we can. And stay strong... yeah."
