The wedding of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and musician and film producer Palaash Muchhal was expected to be a star-studded affair. However, the it became one of the most talked about weddings of the year because of its sudden cancellation. While some people accused Palaash of cheating, others claimed that the musician was caught red-handed cheating by the cricketer just a night before their wedding. Now, Palaash's sister has broken her silence for the first time.

Palak Muchhal revealed that it is a difficult time for both the families and they are trying to come out of this difficult phase together. Palash's sister described it as a difficult time for them. She noted, "I think the families have been through a very, very tough time, and I would just want to repeat that we would like to believe in positivity in this time and spread positivity as much as we can. And stay strong... yeah."

Just weeks after their wedding postponement, rumours also started to circulate online that the couple will tie the knot on December 7, 2025. As online speculation swirled, Smriti Mandhana's brother Shravan set the record straight: there's no truth to the latest wedding date rumours. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, the cricketer's brother confirmed, "I have no idea about these rumours. As of now it (the wedding) is still postponed."

So far, neither Smriti nor Palaash has released an official statement regarding the circulating cheating rumours.
