Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most adored actors of the Hindi film industry and apart from being an exceptionally great actor, Ranbir emerged as a doting father. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir welcomed their daughter Raha in 2022, and ever since, the couple has been often seen talking about their darling daughter and how she is the centre of their universe. Recently, during a brand event, the Animal actor drew parallels between his relationship with Raha and his bond with his father Late Rishi Kapoor.
Ranbir Kapoor was recently announced as the brand ambassador of a jewellery brand and during the event, he opened up about his experience of becoming a father and called it a “life-changing experience”.
Tamasha actor then proceeded to explain his statement by giving the example of his distant relationship with his father late Rishi Kapoor. He said, “My father's relationship with me was, there was a little bit of distance, it was not like friendship. That's how that generation was. With my child, I want to break that glass wall. I want to be a friend to her, giving her the wings to fly in whichever direction she wants.”

Ranbir Kapoor was also asked if he feels the pressure of the legacy and that of coming from the Kapoor family. To which he firmly replied, “I never felt the pressure. It was always a sense of responsibility that you know I have been given this thing on a platter. There are 10,000-million talented artists who are waiting to get that opportunity and the fact that I am getting this opportunity so easy, I cannot take that for granted. I have to work very hard, I have to apply my mind, I have to be original, I have to be new and that was very important to me. Thankfully, I think because of my upbringing, I would want to credit a lot to that, I had an understanding before I started working.”
Ranbir Kapoor’s Upcoming Movies
Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, which emerged as a major commercial success.
Currently, Ranbir is gearing up for a bunch of movies that are scheduled to release in 2026 and 2027. First up is his much-awaited movie Ramayana: Part 1, which features him as Lord Rama in the movie. The film is going to hit the theatres on Diwali 2026.
He is also preparing for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama Love & War, starring alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The movie is expected to hit the theatres in late 2026. Movies like Animal Park and Ramayana: Part 2 are also in the pre-production stage.
