Ibrahim Ali Khan's debut movie Nadaaniyan hit the theatres in March, this year but it left the audience as well as critics disappointed. The star kid found himself at the center of a social media storm, enduring brutal trolling and a barrage of negative reviews following Nadaaniyan. The movie became widely discussed for all the wrong reasons. Months after this tumultuous start, Ibrahim has now made an emotional appeal to critics, earnestly asking for another chance to prove his acting ability.

In a conversation with Esquire India, Ibrahim said, "Give me one more chance, man. Let’s have at it. There were people who were trolling it just because they heard that some other person was trolling it. That’s uncalled for, but if I now give a blockbuster in the future, I want the same kind of response. They should go mad after me."

The 2025 Indian Hindi-language teen romantic comedy, Nadaaniyan (transl. Innocence), marked the directorial debut of Shauna Gautam and was produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra under Dharmatic Entertainment. The cast featured the acting debut of Ibrahim Ali Khan alongside Khushi Kapoor, with supporting roles from Mahima Chaudhry, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza and Jugal Hansraj. The movie's plot centers on a privileged South Delhi school girl who hires a fake boyfriend as a form of rebellion against her family and classmates.

Nadaaniyan was released on 7 March 2025 on Netflix. However, its reception was overwhelmingly negative; the film was panned by critics and drew widespread criticism on social media. Much of the backlash was specifically directed at the poor performances of the lead actors, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor.

Following Nadaaniyan, Ibrahim Ali Khan appeared in Sarzameen alongside Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran, a film that premiered on JioHotstar to mixed reviews. His next project will be his theatrical debut, a sports drama titled Diler, directed by Kunal Deshmukh, though few details are currently available.
