Ikkis: On the occasion of veteran actor Dharmendra’s 90th Birth Anniversary, the makers of his lat movie Ikkis have shared a heartfelt video. The clip, shared by the makers of Ikkis on the veteran actor’s 90th birth anniversary, has deeply moved fans across the country. Released on December 8, the emotional video gives one last glimpse of the legendary star on set speaking to the cast and crew with the humility, affection, and grace he was loved for. Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24, at the age of 89, plays the older version of Arun Khetarpal, one of India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardees in Ikkis. The team behind Ikkis, Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming war drama, posted this tribute ahead of the film’s release on December 25, 2025.
Ikkis makers wrote while sharing the tribute, “To nine decades of an icon who showed us that real greatness begins with humility.” In the video, Dharmendra shares, “I am extremely happy to be with Maddock Films… the team, the captain, Sriram ji. The film is made in a very nice way. I think India and Pakistan both should watch the picture. I’m a bit happily sad today it’s the last day of shooting. I love you all. If I’ve made any mistake in saying anything, please forgive me.” The clip quickly went viral, with many fans calling it a “gift” from the superstar on his milestone birthday. His presence in the film and his final message have added a deep, sentimental value to the project.

About Ikkis Movie
Ikkis tells the story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal and his remarkable bravery during the 1971 Indo-Pak War. The film is also drawing attention for bringing new faces to the screen Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, and Simar Bhatia, niece of Akshay Kumar. Both debut actors have spoken about the strong encouragement they received from their families while working on the project. The cast also includes Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Raaz, adding depth to the story.
