Ilaiyaraaja Gets Bomb Threat: Celebrated music director Ilaiyaraaja's T. Nagar studio received a bomb threat email on Tuesday, which led to a security alert. The DGP's office and Ilaiyaraaja received the email alleging that an explosive was planted in his studio, according to report by Hindu. The police, along with the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), hurried to the composer's studio and carried out a thorough check after being alerted.
The police verified that the threat was a hoax, and an investigation showed that the email, which was sent from a Hotmail account, resembled others that had been addressed to other VIPs in Chennai in recent weeks. The issue is being looked at by the City Police and Cyber Crime.
