Team India has once again brought smile to the faces of cricket lovers with a historic win in the final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy at The Oval. They defeated England in a nail-biter by six runs, leaving fans saying 'What a Game'. Social media is flooded with congratulatory messages. Not staying behind, members of the film industry also expressed their excitement over Team India's big win. From Suniel Shetty, Anil Kapoor, to Kareena Kapoor, many shared special posts on their respective social media handles.
Celebs Cheer For Team India After Win Against England
Kareena Kapoor took to her Instagram story and shared a celebratory post of Mohammed Siraj and wrote, "Jai Hind."
Anil Kapoor, who watched the match on his TV screens at home, shared a video of the Indian flag flying high in the sky at the stadium as Team India celebrated their victory. Along with the post, he posted, "What a fight. What a finish. Team India doesn’t play safe—they play like legends!"
Suniel Shetty, who was present at the stadium and witnessed the historic win live at The Oval with his son Ahan Shetty. He was screaming with joy when fast bowler Mohammed Siraj took England's last wicket and led the team to victory. Ahan took to Instagram and shared a series of photos from the IND vs ENG 5th Test match and wrote, "2 incredible days at The Oval! What a game and what a win! Come on India, always my India."

Athiya Shetty also shared Team India's photo on her Instagram story and wrote, "Unreal."
Angad Bedi, who is an avid cricket fan, celebrated India's win with loud applause while watching it live on his TV screens. Sharing the series of photos and videos, he wrote, “Well Done @indiancricketteam Whattttt a win!!!!! Miyaan." In his next story, he posted, "Test cricket you beauty!!! Yeh naya Hindustan hai… yeh ghusega bhi… aur marega bhi!!!"
Arjun Kapoor also praised Mohammed Siraj for his bowling skills, which contributed to Team India's historical win. He wrote on his Instagram, “@mohammedsirajofficial Miyaan kya baat hai !!! Dil khol ke celebrate ki jeeye aap… Catch jo hokar na hua uske bawajood to come and bowl like this on day 5 to draw the series !!! Amongst the many well-deserved winners of the player of the match and series, mere liye aap ho for the spirit u showed !!! Desh ke liye ladke jeete ho aap aaj !!! Jai Hind @indiancricketteam"
It shows that Shubman Gill's era has just begun as India completed a famous victory at The Oval and levelled the series 2-2.
Earlier, after England won the Toss and decided to bowl first, they reduced India to 153/6; however, a steady 58-run partnership between Karun Nair (57) and Washington Sundar (26), helped India to reach 224. Gus Atkinson was the pick of the bowlers.
England's approach was quite attacking, but they could not build a significant lead, as they were bundled for 247, thanks to the four-fers from Mohammed Siraj (4/86) and Prasidh Krishna (4/62). The top scorers for England in their first innings were Zak Crawley (64) and Harry Brook (53). They could only manage a lead of 23 runs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, was the top scorer for India in their second innings, as he smashed 118; he was well partnered by Akash Deep (66). Apart from these two, there were valiant efforts from Ravindra Jadeja (53) and Washington Sundar (53) as well. Together, they took India to 396, setting England a target of 374 runs.
During the chase, England started well. Joe Root (105) and Harry Brook (111) both scored centuries and troubled India with a 195-run stand for the fourth wicket. At one point, England were cruising at 317/4, but Mohammed Siraj (5/104) and Prasidh Krishna's (4/126) held their nerve. Their belief and persistence proved too much for the English batters, who were bowled out for 367 runs. India managed a narrow victory by 6 runs.
