Sunny Deol Entourage Cost: The growing expenses brought on by celebrities' sizable entourages are a topic of continuous discussion as Bollywood battles with skyrocketing production costs and disappointing movie. These support crews, which range from personal cooks to stylists, frequently contribute significantly to a movie's budget. Actor Puneet Issar, however, recently offered an alternative perspective on his collaboration with Sunny Deol.
Sunny Deol's Border co-star recalled filming Border the 1997 movie in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, adding that the well-known actor has always traveled in style, but never at the expense of the producer. He said, "Sunny raja aadmi hai. Woh jahan jaata hai raja ki tarah jata hai. Uska pura entourage chalta hai. Uske cooks bhi aayenge, badminton ka court bhi hoga, pura gym jayega."
Sunny Deol will go extra mile to accommodate others' stuff recalled Puneet Issar. "He will ask you that I am travelling with all of this weight, if there is anything that you also want to carry so he can load it up as well," he Puneet Issar added.
Puneet Issar addressed the recent worries about how growing entourage costs were affecting movie budgets, emphasizing that things were very different in the past. "I don't think Sunny would put the bill on producer. That's why I said, 'he is a king.' Even Salman is like that. It's a requirement, it's a must for them, they need it, they have to workout," he remarked.
Anurag Kashyap On Bollywood Entourage Cost
Meanwhile, Anurag Kashyap shared a more critical perspective on Bollywood's spending habits. He claimed that a lot of money is being squandered on things that don't enhance the movie itself in a prior interview with Humans of Cinema. "It’s not a holiday; it’s not a picnic. A lot of the money that is spent doesn’t go into making the film. It goes into the paraphernalia; it goes into the entourage. You’re shooting in the middle of a jungle, but one car will be sent to the city three hours away specifically to get you that five-star burger you want," he said.
On the work front, Sunny Deol was last seen in the April 10 release of the India-wide action thriller Jaat, which became one of the year's highest-grossing Indian movies. Gopichand Malineni, a Telugu director making his Hindi debut, directed the movie, which also features Regina Caasandra, Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, and Randeep Hooda.
