Deepika Padukone rang in her 40th birthday on January 5. She celebrated the special day with her fans by hosting a small get-together in Mumbai, glimpses of which have taken over social media. From lavish buffets, handwritten cards, and gift baskets worth about Rs 15,000, Deepika's fan meet was full of special moments as she spent time with them. As birthday wishes poured in on her 40th birthday, a poster of Deepika's upcoming movie King has surfaced online. The viral post claimed that filmmaker Siddharth Anand had unveiled a poster of the actress on her special day, leaving many wondering if it's real or AI-generated.
Is Deepika Padukone’s King Poster Real?
A post of X featuring Deepika Padukone's alleged first look from Shah Rukh Khan starrer King began circulating rapidly online. Along with the poster, the viral post read, "She doesn’t need a bullet to kill you! Presenting Deepika Padukone in #King – Siddharth Anand via IG." At first glance, the image appeared convincing, and many believed it to be real since it surfaced on the actress' birthday. However, the eagle-eyed fans soon noticed that the poster was not authentic and had reused an image from Deepika's previous project poster.
One user on X wrote, "Daal daal ke pathaan ka daala tumne?"
Another user commented, "Its from Pathan."
The viral poster turned out to be misleading, as King director Siddharth Anand has not posted any such poster on his Instagram or any other official platforms. As several users pointed out, the still used in the image emerged to be from Deepika’s 2023 blockbuster Pathaan, which was also directed by Anand. This surely has sparked excitement among fans eager to see Deepika's look in King. However, the makers are yet to release any official poster or any glimpses of the actress from the movie.

Meanwhile, she is all set to reunite with Shah Rukh Khan in King. She began shooting for the film last year and shared a photo with SRK while announcing their 6th movie together.
Apart from King, Deepika also has Atlee’s much-anticipated film alongside Allu Arjun in the pipeline.
