India's Got Latent Season 2: Comedian Samay Raina has officially confirmed the return of his hit roast-style talent show, India’s Got Latent. The announcement was made during his latest stand-up special, Still Alive, which premiered on YouTube on Tuesday. The announcement comes just over a year after the show was abruptly pulled from the internet following a series of legal troubles and social media backlash.

Addressing the audience Samay Raina said, “Maine bahut socha iss baare mein, I swear to God. I don’t think isse high point pe mera show end ho sakta tha.” He quickly corrected himself to thunderous applause, adding, “I don’t think isse high point pe mere show ka Season 1 end ho sakta tha.” “Show toh main laaunga bhai kyunki maza aata tha woh show karne mein,” he told the cheering crowd.

Smay Raina further shared a unique strategy for the upcoming season to avoid further censorship issues, “Main chahta hoon main ekdum wild show karoon. Internet mein ekdum softy version daalenge. I want to do a wild, wild show.” The comedian hinted at stricter rules for live recordings, such as confiscating mobile phones to ensure the content stays within the room.

Meanwhile, this move appears to be a direct response to the massive controversy in early 2025. The show was taken down after guest Ranveer Allahbadia asked a provocative question about parental intimacy that went viral for the wrong reasons.

For the first time, Samay Raina spoke about the emotional and professional toll of deleting the first season. "Humne YouTube se stat nikala tha, monthly 4 crore unique devices pe log mera show dekhte the. 100 mein se 4 log humara show dekhke hass rahe the," he confessed. “Maine kaha mai nahi hata raha hoon sir, I live in a democracy, we have freedom of speech. Toh mera editor arrest kar liya unhone,” he shared.
