Ramree Movie Update: Siddhant Chaturvedi debuted in Bollywood with Gully Boy, in which he portrayed rapper MC Stan, and has received significant praise from the audience. The 32-year-old actor is also celebrated for his work in movies like Gehraiyaan, Phone Bhoot, Bunty Aur Babli 2, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, and more. Now the actor was gearing up for his latest Netflix original movie, titled Ramree, but according to the latest update, the movie has been shelved. The film is said to be a two-hero movie and was reported to be helmed by Neha Sharma and produced by Ajay Devgn.
According to a report in Mid-day, "Work on the film had been going on for over a year. Given the subject and the period setting, it was an expensive project." The report further mentioned, "For an OTT film, this would have set a benchmark in scale and imagination, but budget constraints caught up with it. Even though the platform heads were excited about the story, there was too much at stake financially. So, they decided to not move forward with it." The film was apparently set in 1945 and also starred Mohit Raina in key roles.

Furthermore, the report mentioned that a project is considered greenlit only when it goes on the floor and added, "Ramree was an idea in development that did not move forward, a natural part of the creative process where multiple concepts are explored. While some take shape, some don’t." According to media reports, the decision was taken due to budgeting becoming an issue for the movie.
