Dhadak 2 OTT Release: Dhadak 2 hit the big screen on 1st August this year. The movie starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri is now gearing up for its digital release. The film tells the tale of Neelesh and Vidhi, played by Siddhant and Triptii, two young lovers from different caste backgrounds. Their relationship is marked by challenges, as they struggle against family opposition and societal expectations. By focusing on issues of class and caste discrimination, the movie attempts to highlight social barriers that still affect modern relationships.

Netflix has confirmed that Dhadak 2 will arrive on its platform this month. The streaming giant made the announcement on Instagram, sharing a poster featuring the two lead stars along with the caption, “Do duniya. Do dil. Aur bas ek dhadak. Watch Dhadak 2, out tomorrow on Netflix.” This means fans can stream the film on Netflix from Friday, 26 September, less than two months after it was released in cinemas. The update has been warmly welcomed by audiences online. One user commented, “Wow, best movie ever.” Another wrote, “Great news. I missed it in theatres and was waiting eagerly for OTT. I’m excited to finally watch it. The trailer had me hooked, and I love the cast.” Many others echoed similar excitement, with one fan simply adding, “Awaiting eagerly.”

Meanwhile, according to Sacnilk, the film managed to earn Rs 22.45 crore nett and Rs 26.9 crore in India. Its worldwide earnings reached around Rs 31.5 crore. While not a massive blockbuster, the film drew attention for its story and strong performances. Dhadak 2 has been directed by Shazia Iqbal and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures. Interestingly, the film was originally scheduled for a November 2024 release. However, it faced multiple delays, largely due to issues with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Reports suggest the board had objections to several scenes, and the release was only cleared after the makers agreed to major edits and modifications.

On the other hand, the movie is a remake of the critically acclaimed 2018 Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal, directed by Mari Selvaraj. It also serves as the sequel to Dhadak (2018), which featured Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor in their debut roles and was directed by Shashank Khaitan.
