Jackie Chan is alive. The movie star has been a victim of the internet death hoax since 2015. A recent Facebook post went viral this week, sparking confusion and panic by falsely reporting the death of a beloved action star. Fans swiftly moved to debunk the rumour, highlighting how quickly AI‑generated misinformation can spread.
According to a report by Life&Style, a Facebook message declared, "Today, the most beloved person in the world cinema, all of our hearts, has passed away, especially our generation, a worthy actor, a great Kong Fu player, the man with a funny laugh, Jackie Chan, has passed away."
Fans were soon to respond to the post. user wrote on X, "Why is Facebook tryna kill off Jackie Chan??" Another wrote on X, "Omgggg Facebook lies about ever d**n thing. And y’all believe it! Jackie Chan is not dead I almost shouting at work," and others also dropped similar reactions.

In early October he was sharing snapshots on social media with Shaquille O’Neal and David Beckham, and just a month before that he took the stage with K‑pop group Seventeen, posting, “A heartfelt thank you to Seventeen for inviting me to their concert as their special guest! Had so much fun!”
