Jana Nayagan has made over Rs 1 crore in advance bookings in the UK within days of ticket sales commencing, according to Asian Box Office.
Jana Nayagan UK release date announcement came after a protracted disagreement with the censor board was settled following 12 proposed changes. These included references to CM Vijay's party TVK, scenes depicting a falling national flag, and specific profanity and religious terms.

Jana Nayagan is the official remake of the National Award-winning Telugu movie Bhagavanth Kesari (2023), starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Sreeleela.
Prakash Raj, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, and Narain are among the other actors in the movie. Composer Anirudh, director Sathyan Sooryan, editor Pradeep E. Ragav, and production designer V. Selvakumar make up the technical team.
