Jatadhara: Sonakshi Sinha and Sudheer Babu starrer Telugu movie has been creating buzz much ahead of its release. The mythic supernatural action thriller film delves into themes of devotion, greed and the mysteries locked within sacred spaces. Since the teaser and look have been unveiled, the curiosity has increased about whether the plot is directly inspired by the real-life events around the famous Padmanabhaswamy (Anantha Padmanabha Swamy) Temple. As per reports, the movie is about the temple’s centuries-old intrigue.
The Padmanabhaswamy shrine has been the subject of fascination due to its hidden vaults, immeasurable treasure and legal controversies over ownership and administration. With this film, the makers are trying to take this subject into a folklore-inspired, mythological, supernatural tale in the template of good vs evil. The temple is also famous because of some mysteries, such as the sixth door of the temple. It has been said that when there was an attempt to made to open the door, tragedy happened. People who tried to open the door lost their lives and Kerala witnessed severe calamities. The movie takes inspiration from the temple’s atmosphere of mystery, faith and conflict surrounding the temple legends with a touch of fictional narrative.
Jatadhara stars Sudheer Babu, Sonakshi Sinha, Divya Khossla, Shilpa Shirodkar, Indira Krishna, Ravi Prakash, Naveen Neni, Rohit Pathak, Jhansi, Rajeev Kanakala and Subhalekha Sudhakar in key roles. It promises to showcase an unforgettable clash of good vs evil, of light vs darkness, of human will vs cosmic fate. The movie marks the debut of Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha. When her look was unveiled earlier this year, it attracted a lot of attention from the audience.

The film has been presented by Zee Studios and Prerna Arora, Jatadhara is backed by Umesh Kumar Bansal, Shivin Narang, Aruna Agarwal, Prerna Arora, Shilpa Singhal and Nikhil Nanda. It has been co-produced by Akshay Kejriwal and Kussum Arora, with Creative Producer Divya Vijay and Supervising Producer Bhavini Goswami. Jatadhara is set to release on November 7 in Telugu and Hindi languages. Recently, the makers have released a soulful track of the film, Soul Of Jatadhara.
