Kajol and Rani Mukerji got back together to begin their family's yearly Durga Puja festivities in Mumbai on Saturday. The actor's sister Tanishaa Mukerji and their other cousin Sharbani Mukherji accompanied them to the North Bombay Durga Puja pandal, where the festivities began with a joyful unveiling of the Goddess Durga statue. For those who don't know, Ayan Mukerji's father, actor Deb Mukherjee, died in March 2025 at 83. Even though the atmosphere was festive, it was also filled with grief as the family remembered him. His absence was greatly felt because he was planning the family's Durga Puja celebrations.

Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Tanishaa, and Sharbaani were seen embracing each other while crying in a heartfelt clip that was caught on camera. Netizens dropped hearts and heart-eye emojis in the comment section.

Kajol looked lovely in a cream-coloured saree with a deep crimson top that contrasted with it. Rani Mukerji, on the other hand, picked a white saree with a plain black and red border for the event. She wore bold bangles and earrings as her only accessories.
