Kajol is gearing up for her movie Maa which is set to hit theatres on 27 July, 2025. Recently, the Dilwale actress recently opened up about the changing face of Bollywood and the rise of fresh talent in the industry. Reflecting on the comparison between actors from her generation and the younger Gen-Z stars, the Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge actress praised how today’s newcomers are carving their own paths.

Kajol according to a report in India Today, was asked if any young actor reminds her of her early days in the ’90s. She replied, “I’m very happy to say that there is none. It's not an arrogant statement or anything like that. But each one of the actors that we have has very clearly made their own world. They are not following anyone's footprints - and they shouldn't. It’s a different world today.” She added that today’s actors are much more self-aware and make decisions based on their own beliefs and ambitions.
