Thug Life has created a buzz since the release of its trailer. The movie stars Trisha Krishnan in lead role, who is 42, and Kamal Haasan, who is 70. A few intimate scenes between Trisha Krishnan and Kamal Haasan have ignited debate on social media with netizens questioning their age gap. Users have posted clips of their romantic scenes from the trailer of Thug Life on Reddit. However, Trisha is least affected by the online trolling as she said, “that’s something I knew.”
According to News18, at an event in Mumbai, Trisha said, “I think that’s something I knew when they announced the film and I had not even signed it. So that’s when I knew, wow, this is magic. And I was not even part of the film at that point in time.”
Talking about the chemistry between Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam, she said, “Like I just said before, to actually see them come together, to see their chemistry, like Kamal sir has said so many times before, they would speak with their eyes. They were in total sync with each other. And it was amazing to just watch them.” “So all of us as actors, we were like, oh damn, we have to do some work here. We’ve got to stop staring at them. So it was magic,” she further added.
The upcoming Tamil-language gangster action drama film Thug Life has been directed by Mani Ratnam. The film has music composed by A. R. Rahman, cinematography handled by Ravi K. Chandran and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. The movie is scheduled to be released worldwide on June 5, 2025 in standard IMAX and EPIQ formats.
