Actor and politician Kamal Haasan is all set to take an oth at Rajya Sabha. Ahead of the big day, Haasan met his dear friend and colleague, Rajinikanth, at his Poes Garden house in Chennai on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the Thug Life actor took ot his official X account and dropped a series of photos with the Coolie actor. Rajinikanth gifted him a bouquet and congratulated him with all his heart.

Kamal Haasan wrote on X, "I shared my joy with my friend Rajinikanth before embarking on my new journey. I am happy and delighted." In the photos, Haasan could been seen earing a salmin pink-coloured t-shirt with dark brown pair of trousers, while Rajinikanth sported a white kurta with matching mundu.

Kamal Haasan has achieved a notable milestone in his career, being elected unopposed as a Rajya Sabha member with the backing of the DMK-led alliance. This development marks a significant chapter in his journey, as he prepares to take on new responsibilities in the parliamentary arena. According to a press statement released by his party, Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), Haasan is set to take the oath of office and assume his duties in Parliament on July 25.

On the cinematic front, Kamal Haasan's recent appearance in Mani Ratnam's Thug Life garnered considerable attention, although the film's box office performance was somewhat muted and it received mixed reviews from both critics and audiences. Despite this, the actor remains undeterred, with a pipeline of projects at various stages of production.
