Kangana Ranaut Remembers Late Actor Dharmendra At His Prayer Meet, Says, ‘Meri Bahut Yaadein Hai..’

Veteran actress Hema Malini and her daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol recently hosted a prayer meet in Delhi on December 11 for the late actor Dharmendra. During the meeting, the Dream Girl Of Bollywood broke down as she paid heartfelt tribute to her late husband and recalled his unfulfilled dream. Kangana Ranaut also attended the prayer meet, where she opened up about how the ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood was more than just a public figure and an inspiration for many.

While talking to ANI, Kangana Ranaut said, "Dharam ji came from a small village, just like me, and tasted the peak of success. Seeing him always reminded me of the fragrance of the village, of the soil there. He was so grounded and a really simple person...It is an hour of grief.”

She further added, "So, it is a very sad time, and we feel even more saddened to see Hema ji. We stand with her in this pain, and she is an important part of the BJP. The entire BJP family is with her. The Prime Minister and all of us are with her… Meri bahut yaadeinhai ki vokehte the Kangana bahut acha kaam kar rahi ho..tum bahut acha fight karti ho apni baaton ko lekar..apne hak ke liye (I have very good memories with him, he used to say, you are doing a great work, and you fight like a queen for your rights.)"

Kangana Ranaut also shared a picture on Instagram with Hema Malini and her daughters from the prayer meet, where she can be seen having a deep conversation with the actress. She wrote a short message that read, “Aaj Hema ji aur pariwar se milkar dil bhar aaya, Dharam ji hamesha hamari yaadon mein zinda rahengey.”

Hema Malini At Dharmendra's Prayer Meet

The veteran actress Hema Malini broke down at Dharmendra's prayer meet and called his death an 'inconsolable shock'. She said, "The whole world is mourning his passing, but for me, it is an inconsolable shock, the breaking of a companionship that stood the test of time." The actress also talked about her husband's unfinished dream of writing a book. She revealed his love for poetry and his desire to turn his verses into a published book.
