Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Collection Day 19: Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 continues its impressive run at the box office, showing no signs of slowing down even after crossing the Rs 500 crore mark domestically. The prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara has captivated audiences with its powerful storytelling and striking visuals. Despite witnessing a slight dip during the Diwali week, the film bounced back over the weekend with strong double-digit figures. On its 19th day, the movie’s total domestic collection reached Rs 535.25 crore, reaffirming its dominance as one of the biggest Kannada films of all time.
The third Monday saw Kantara Chapter 1 collect Rs 11.75 crore, maintaining pace with its weekend numbers, Rs 12.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 17 crore on Sunday, as per Sacnilk. During the second week, the film earned Rs 147 crore across all languages, with Hindi contributing Rs 54.25 crore. In its opening week, Kantara Chapter 1 had a stellar start with Rs 337.4 crore, driven by the Kannada version’s Rs 106.95 crore and the Hindi version’s Rs 108.75 crore. The film’s consistent performance highlights its cross-language appeal and growing popularity beyond South India.
Meanwhile, trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted that while Kantara Chapter 1 continues its strong run, it will face increased competition from new Diwali releases. Sharing an update on social media, he mentioned that the film has surpassed the Rs 175 crore milestone in the Hindi belt but may see a reduction in screens and showtimes as fresh releases enter theatres. Still, Kantara Chapter 1 has already made history by becoming the highest-grossing Kannada film of 2025, surpassing the previous record-holder Su From So and even outperforming big releases like Game Changer and Sikandar.
