Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Day 22: Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 continues its strong run at the box office even after 22 days of release. The film, which hit theatres on 2 October, has managed to maintain a steady pace despite new releases every week. Audiences across the country are still flocking to cinemas to witness Shetty’s captivating storytelling and powerful performance. According to early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned around Rs 6 crore on its 22nd day, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 563.50 crore. The movie’s hold at the box office highlights its widespread appeal and strong word-of-mouth promotion.
Kantara Chapter 1, directed and headlined by Rishab Shetty, has not just performed well in India but also created a buzz globally. Kantara Chapter 1 reportedly grossed over Rs 809 crore worldwide, surpassing the lifetime collection of Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, which earned Rs 807 crore. The success of this Kannada-language prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara has made it one of the highest-grossing films of 2025. With impressive numbers pouring in even in its fourth week, the film’s popularity shows no signs of slowing down.
Now, the Rishab Shetty-starrer is all set to challenge another record. Kantara Chapter 1 is on track to overtake Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s Saiyaara, which earned Rs 579.23 crore in its lifetime. With weekend collections expected to rise again, the film could easily cross this milestone in the coming days. Produced by Hombale Films on a budget of Rs 125 crore, Kantara Chapter 1 has already earned more than ₹500 crore net in India, marking a return of nearly 305%.

Amid its box office success, the makers have also announced that the English dubbed version of Kantara Chapter 1 will release worldwide on 31st October. This move aims to bring the divine saga of faith, culture, and devotion to international audiences. Starring Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, and Jayaram alongside Rishab Shetty, the film delves into the origins of Daiva worship in Tulunadu, tracing its roots to the Kadamba dynasty. With its gripping story and spectacular visuals, Kantara Chapter 1 has truly become a cinematic phenomenon.
