Comedian Kapil Sharma’s cafe in Surrey, Canada, Kap’s Cafe has once again come under attack, marking the third firing incident in just four months. The latest assault took place earlier this week, when unidentified gunmen opened fire on the restaurant. Although, no injuries were reported, but the attack has caused panic among locals and fans alike. A video circulating on social media shows multiple gunshots being fired at the café, which had only recently reopened after suffering damage from previous attacks. Police vehicles can be seen arriving at the scene moments later, flashing lights cutting through the quiet Canadian night.
Soon after the incident, gangsters Kulveer Sidhu and Goldy Dhillon, who are reportedly associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the attack online. In a social media post, they wrote, “Today’s firing at Kap’s Café, Surrey, was carried out by me, Kulveer Sidhu, and Goldy Dhillon. We have no issue with the public. Those who cheat or owe us will be warned. Bollywood figures speaking against our religion should also beware bullets can come from anywhere.” This post has further raised concerns about the gang’s growing influence and their threats towards Indian celebrities abroad.

Meanwhile, local Surrey police have begun an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to witnesses to identify the attackers. Officers are also looking into whether the recent incident is linked to the earlier shootings. The first attack took place on July 10, 2025, when gunmen fired several rounds outside Kap’s CafE. Police then suspected the involvement of the Laddi gang, which has reported links to the banned Khalistani group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). A month later, on August 7, another attack followed but this time more intense, with over 25 rounds reportedly fired.
