Karuppu Teaser: Suriya is all set to enthrall audience with his much-anticipated 45th film, titled Karuppu. He will be seen in a new, intense avatar. Directed by RJ Balaji’s upcoming film also stars Trisha Krishnan. The teaser of Karuppu was released on Suriya’s 50th birthday today, marking a double celebration for actor's fans. It seems that he is going to portray a dual role in the movie. The highlight of the teaser, apart from high-octane action, is recreation of a famous scene from his hit 2005 film Ghajini.

Karuppu Teaser Unveiled On Suriya's Birthday

The teaser opens with a voiceover explaining that the deity is not a calm one to be worshipped with grace but with chillies. Then, Suriya is introduced in two different avatars. One, dressed in lawyer attire, named Saravanan, who says he goes by an alias too. The other avatar shows him in more violent and intense action. There is also a scene where Suriya relishes watermelon, referencing a famous scene from the song Oru Maalai in Ghajini. It is not clear whether Suriya is leading two different lives or playing dual roles, but the teaser surely sets the tone of the upcoming Tamil movie.

Soon after teaser unveil, fans shared their excitement. One user wrote, "Real Watermelon Star with his own reference Just RJ balaji na Things." Another user commented, "This is what we need from Suriya Blasttttt ." Another comment read, "Same Same But Different Ghajini Iconic Water Melon Scene Palaced In #KaruppuTeaser Same White Shirt." Other got goosebumbs after watching the teaser.

Directed by RJ Balaji along with a screenplay penned by Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, TS Gopi Krishnan, and Karan Aravind Kumar. Karuppu is bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures.
