KD Teaser Out: Versatile actor Sanjay Dutt, well-loved for his unforgettable roles in movies like Vaastav, Munna Bhai MBBS, and Agneepath, is returning to the big screen with a powerful presence. This time, he joins forces with Kannada action star Dhruva Sarja for the upcoming film KD – The Devil. While Dutt was last seen in the comedy franchise Housefull 5, Dhruva Sarja is eyeing a strong comeback after his previous movie Martin failed to strike a chord with audiences.

On 10 July, the much-anticipated teaser for KD – The Devil was officially unveiled at a grand launch event in Mumbai. Directed by Prem, who earned recognition for the hit film Jogi, the teaser reveals a dark, intense world filled with gritty action, suspense, and layered characters. With the teaser being released in five languages—Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam aiming for a broad pan-India reach, capturing audiences across regions.

The teaser begins by introducing Sanjay Dutt’s character, Dhak Deva, followed by Dhruva Sarja’s intense role as Kaali Dasa, also known as KD. Both stars appear in rugged, larger-than-life avatars set in a violent and chaotic backdrop. Interestingly, while the two are described as being ‘bonded by blood,’ they are not family, hinting at a relationship forged through shared experiences and conflict rather than lineage. KD – The Devil Kannada Movie Ensemble Cast And Crew

Alongside the two lead actors, KD – The Devil boasts a stellar supporting cast including Shilpa Shetty, Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, and Reeshma Nanaiah, who plays the female lead. Making a glamorous entry into Kannada cinema, Nora Fatehi is also part of the project and will be seen in a high-energy dance number, which fans are already looking forward to.

Set against the backdrop of the 1970s, the Kannada movie embraces a stylised period gangster aesthetic. The teaser is peppered with references to classic gangster cinema with vintage visuals, symbolic props, and striking production design. The music, composed by Arjun Janya, has already made waves with two tracks—‘Shiva Shiva’ and ‘Settagalla’, both of which have been met with appreciation from listeners.

Backed by KVN Productions, the makers of upcoming biggies like Vijay’s Jana Nayagan and Yash’s Toxic, KD – The Devil is shaping up to be a major action entertainer.
