Kim Soo-Hyun's luxury apartment has been seized after the advertiser filed a lawsuit against the actor over damages caused by his dating controversy with the late actress Kim Sae-Rom. Queen Of Tears' actor gained an advantage in a legal battle against YouTuber Kim Se Ui, owner of the channel Garo Sero, after a Seoul court ruled in his favor. This decision allows Soo Hyun and his agency, Gold Medalist, to seize Kim Se Ui's two apartments to recover damages. The lawsuit stems from Kim Se Ui's accusations that Soo Hyun was in an inappropriate relationship with late actor Kim Sae Ron.

Why did Kim Soo-Hyun lose his apartment?

Skincare brand Classys ended their endorsement deal with Kim Soo Hyun and sued him for damages worth Rs 18.73 crore, citing damage to their brand image due to his association with the Kim Sae-ron controversy. The Seoul Eastern District Court approved the seizure of one of Kim's luxury residences in the Galleria Forêt complex, valued as one of his high-value assets.

Kim Soo-Hyun's legal team condemned the seizure as "unfair," claiming he's being wrongly targeted. They alleged that YouTuber Kim Se Ui's false accusations led to cancelled partnerships and reputational damage. The team asserted that Kim Soo Hyun is the real victim, penalized for unmet contractual obligations stemming from baseless claims.

According to Indian Express, Soo Hyun’s lawyer, Bang Sung Hoon from LKB & Partners, stated, "It’s true that provisional seizure was granted, but Kim Soo Hyun is the victim of criminal slander by Garo Sero Institute. Their false claims that Kim dated and exploited the underage Kim Sae Ron led to these consequences. The blame lies with the instigators, not Kim."
