One of the biggest challenges for Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 has been the intense competition. Aditya Dhar's directorial Dhurandhar, which stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal, has already earned over Rs 400 crore domestically whilst dominating screens and the public's attention. Meanwhile, Nandamuri Balakrishna's Akhanda 2: Thaandavam is steadily getting closer to the Rs 100 crore milestone and is still a major draw in southern markets. The majority of the premium screens and peak show times have been occupied by these films, leaving Kapil Sharma's comedy with little room to expand.

With James Cameron's Avatar Fire and Ash coming out soon, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 will be under increased pressure. Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, starring Kartik Aaryan, is scheduled to be released over Christmas week, and it is anticipated that the struggle at the box office would get more intense.
