Krithi Shetty Breaks Down While Talking About Negativity And Hate She Receives Online, Says ‘I Do Tend To Lose Myself’

Krithi Shetty, who primarily works in Telugu and Tamil movies, recently broke down while talking about the hate and criticism she keeps facing online. The actress kick-started her career at the age of 18 and has been an active target of trolling ever since. Krithi admitted that the negativity sometimes leads to low moments and how she has learned to focus on the bigger picture and on things that truly matter, with the support she receives from her family.

Krithi Shetty got emotional at the SS music podcast while talking about the hate she deals with, and said, "You’re scrutinised so much, there’s so much for you to deal with. There’s so much criticism and hate for things that are beyond your control. It’s very unfair. Even still, there are points where you face so much rejection. I do tend to lose myself a little there, even though I’m typically a very optimistic person."

Krithi also mentioned that it was her family who helped her manage the dark side of the internet and added, "When I have those episodes of feeling really low, I know it’s only my mom who has pulled me out of it. She always made me feel like I’m so much beyond what I do. I really need that reassurance sometimes. Everything happened so fast that I didn’t get the space for self-assurance and love. I didn’t expect to need to be ready for all that. If someone in real life commented, I wouldn’t care. But I don’t have the answer to those online."

Krithi Shetty’s Career And Upcoming Projects

Krithi Shetty was first seen in Super 30 in 2019 alongside Hrithik Roshan and Mrunal Thakur. She had a small but impactful role in the movie which opened many doors for her. The actress made her debut as a lead actress in 2021 with the Telugu movie Uppena. The movie was a major box office success and she received critical acclaim for her performance.

Krithi Shetty is all set to appear back-to-back in a couple of Tamil movies. Her movie Love Insurance Company is going to hit the theatres on December 18. Krithi is also going to appear in Arjun Jr directed movie Genie, which is slated to release this year on Christmas, December 25.
