Kuch Kuch Hota Hai Turns 27: Filmmaker Karan Johar celebrated 27 years of his debut film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai by sharing never-before-seen behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram. The romantic drama, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji, continues to hold a special place in the hearts of Bollywood fans even after more than two decades. The film, which released in 1998, remains one of the most iconic love stories in Indian cinema. Sharing a carousel of pictures featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Anupam Kher, Reema Lagoo and Archana Puran Singh, Karan Johar expressed his gratitude to the fans. He also included photos of himself, his father Yash Johar, and choreographer Farah Khan from the film sets.
In his caption, Karan Johar wrote, “27 years!!! Some beautiful and candid memories from our set of #KuchKuchHotaHai… a set filled with love, too much banter and happiness.” He added, “Thank you to everyone for the love you continue to give this film—it means everything to me! @dharmamovies.” The official handle of Dharma Productions also marked the occasion by sharing a nostalgic video montage featuring iconic dialogues from the movie. Their caption read, “Celebrating #27YearsOfKuchKuchHotaHai – a story that redefined pyaar, dosti and everything in between for generations to come.”

However, what caught many fans’ attention was the absence of Salman Khan from Karan’s post. Salman, who played a memorable cameo as Aman in the film, was missing from the behind-the-scenes pictures. Fans quickly noticed and filled the comments section with questions like, “Where is Salman Khan’s picture?” and “You should have posted at least one photo of Aman!” Despite that, the post received a warm response from celebrities and fans alike. Alia Bhatt, Aditi Rao Hydari, Anupam Kher and Manchu Lakshmi dropped heart and clap emojis, while fans reminisced about the film’s emotional impact.
