The popular daily soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi made a grand return to Indian television after 25 years with its much-awaited second season. Since its premiere on July 29, it has kept viewers hooked with its gripping new storyline that blends nostalgia. Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay have reprised their iconic roles as Tulsi and Mihir, while the Virani parivaar also sees new additions. Among them is actress Lucky Mehta, who has joined the star cast of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. She will reportedly be seen playing the sister of Noona, portrayed by Barkha Bisht, in Ektaa Kapoor's reboot show. Lucky shared the deep emotional connection behind her decision, revealing it was tied to fulfilling her late father's dream.
Kyunki 2 Casting Update: Lucky Mehta Joins Smriti Irani's Show
In an interview with ETimes TV, Lucky opened up about her reason for joining Kyunki 2. She said, "As a believer, I always felt that when the right time came, I would never let go of that opportunity, because there's such an emotional connection for me. Today, even though my dad is no longer with me, I know he's watching over and blessing me from above. I feel truly fortunate that I could fulfill his dream and make him proud."

Lucky also revealed that she turned down another show offered to her at the same time. She shared, "It’s true that when I signed this show, I also got a call for another one. But I deeply value my work and commitments. Being part of this cult franchise is a blessing in itself."
Kyunki 2 Cast And Release Timings
The second season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi airs every day on Star Plus channel at 10:30 pm and streams on JioHotstar. Viewers can also catch all previously aired episodes on the OTT platform anytime. Apart from Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay, the show also features Shakti Anand, Gauri Pradhan, Ketki Dave, Hiten Tejwani and others, with new faces like Rohit Suchanti as Angad Virani, Shagun Sharma as Pari, Aman Gandhi as Hrithik Virani, and Tanisha Mehta as Vrinda Gokhale.
