Lenin: Bhagyashri Borse, who had her first lead performance in Telugu cinema with Yaariyan 2, has apparently signed to be the new lead actress in Akhil Akkineni's upcoming political drama Lenin. Reports indicate Bhagyashri Borse is stepping in for Sreeleela, who left the project due to scheduling conflicts. The official announcement is still pending, but it's rumoured the decision came after Sreeleela had scheduling conflicts with the newest shoot dates.

Sreeleela, who had already filmed portions of Lenin, reportedly informed the team that the delay in the production timeline clashed with her prior commitments. According to a report in Filmfare, “Sreeleela may not be part of Lenin. The dates that she allotted to other projects are coming in clash with that of Lenin. Although she revisited and tried to rework on her date diary, things did not materialise.”

About Lenin Movie 

Directed by Kishore Abburu, Lenin is Akhil Akkineni’s sixth movie, and has shown him in a rugged, untested, and new avatar. The political drama intends to take inspiration from Russian revolutionary Vladimir Lenin, and is supposedly a serious and intense story. The first look of the film, released in April was praised for transforming Akhil into a different character from his previous romantic looks in Akhil, Hello, Mr Majnu, Most Eligible Bachelor, and Agent. The movie is co-produced by Nagarjuna under Annapurna Studios and Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments.

Meanwhile, Sreeleela continues to remain one of the busiest and most in-demand actresses in the Telugu film industry. Despite stepping away from Lenin due to scheduling conflicts, her career shows no signs of slowing down. She is currently working on several high-profile projects, including Ustaad Bhagat Singh opposite power star Pawan Kalyan, Extra Ordinary Man alongside Nithiin, and the much-awaited Guntur Kaaram starring superstar Mahesh Babu. These films are expected to be major box-office draws, and Sreeleela’s presence in each has generated significant buzz. Her versatility, charm, and growing fan base continue to solidify her position as a rising star.
