Lock Upp Season 2 Episode 9 Update: Things shook inside the Lock Upp jail after Shilpa Shinde entered the show as its first wild card contestant. The latest episode saw 15 inmates facing another tough day. Hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, the one-hour, two-minute episode Greed vs Need was filled with fights, confrontations, emotional moments and plenty of drama. Here's everything that happened on the Netflix reality show:

Lock Upp Season 2 Episode 9 Update

The episode opened with arguments right from the start. The inmates earlier agreed to skip snacks to manage the jail budget, but Shreya Kalra refused to follow the decision. This came after she realised she was not one of the safe contestants. She said she had health issues, needed to take her medicines and therefore wanted her meal.

This led to a heated argument inside the house. Akanksha Chaudhary, one of the safe inmates, was given the responsibility of placing the food order. She ordered only two coffees, leaving many inmates upset. Almost the entire house questioned her decision. Ram Kapoor also told Akanksha that she acted too quickly without discussing it with everyone.

During the same discussion, Akanksha and Shreya also argued. Akanksha felt Shreya was using her health as an excuse, while Shreya stayed firm that she genuinely needed food before taking her medicines.

Shivangi Joshi Breaks Down

The tension continued when Shivangi Joshi asked Shreya if she was really unwell. The question did not go down well with Shreya. The two had a heated argument.

Shreya felt that Shivangi was asking for proof of her illness. Shivangi, however, said she trusted Shreya and only wanted to hear it from her directly. The misunderstanding quickly turned into a fight. Shreya told Shivangi that it was not the right question to ask, leaving Shivangi in tears.

Harshad Chopda Loses His Temper

After the argument, Shivangi went to Harshad to share how she was feeling. Listening to her, Harshad became extremely angry. He started shouting and called Shreya names, including 'chudail', while also using abusive language. His behaviour shocked inmates.

The other inmates, including Akanksha Chamola, Ram Kapoor and Shivangi, made sure he did not say those words directly to Shreya. He was shouting from a distance. After calming down, Harshad told Shivangi to stop caring about Shreya.

 

 

Varun Yadav aka Laila's Birthday Celebration

Amid all the fights, the inmates finally got a reason to smile. Yogesh and Riyaz celebrated Varun Yadav, also known as Laila’s, birthday inside the jail.

The two playfully acted as if they were drunk while drinking water. It was a small but fun moment that brought some relief in an otherwise tense episode.

Riteish Deshmukh Introduced Luck Machine

Riteish Deshmukh then introduced a new twist called the Luck machine. Every inmate will get a chance to scan their palm to test their luck. The machine could either give them an advantage, put them at a disadvantage or allow them to pass a special power to another inmate.

Madhuri Grover was the first to test her luck. She won the power to give one inmate premium meals for the entire day. Since it was Varun’s birthday, she chose him. Madhuri then selected Shreya to go next.

Shreya Kalra Gets Access Card

Luck was on Shreya’s side. She won access to the digital canteen card, giving her the power to place food orders for the house.

Before placing the dinner order, Shreya asked Yogesh, Sufi and Akanksha to apologise to her. She warned that if they refused, she would not order food for them. The demand shocked the inmates. All three refused to apologise.

Ram Kapoor then stepped in and requested Shreya to at least order a shared meal so that no one would go to sleep hungry. She eventually agreed.

While placing the order, Shreya accidentally ordered another premium meal even though one had already been assigned to Varun through the Luck machine.

In the end, Varun enjoyed his premium meal. Akanksha picked up one of the vegetarian meals, while Shivangi Joshi and Harshad Chopda shared the extra premium meal that was ordered by mistake. Yogesh also had his food. Sufi initially refused to eat, but the other inmates asked him and even offered food from their own plates.

Shilpa Shinde Tries Her Luck

Shreya then selected Shilpa Shinde, the show's first wild card contestant, to test the Luck machine. Unfortunately, the machine displayed 'Better luck next time', giving her no advantage.

Shilpa then chose Riyaz to go next. Riyaz got lucky. He won the power to secure one inmate, apart from himself, and also added Rs 50,000 to the jail fund.

Lock Upp Season 2 Episode 10: What To Expect?

The episode ended with a dramatic preview of what’s coming next. Shreya once again asked Akanksha Choudhary to apologise, warning that she could stop her meal if she refused. The argument soon turned ugly, with both Akanksha and Yogesh losing their patience.

The fight also shifted towards seniority and respect inside the house. Some inmates tried to calm Akanksha and Yogesh down. She also seemingly took a dig at Shilpa Shinde.

Akanksha was later seen throwing water on a bed. It was not revealed whose bed it was, but it appeared to be linked to Shilpa Shinde. Going by the promo, the next episode promises even more drama inside the jail.
