Malayalam superstar Mammootty is back to work after a brief break due to health concerns. After taking an eight-month hiatus, the actor has returned to the sets of his upcoming film Patriot. He has headed to Hyderabad for the film's shoot, directed by Mahesh Narayanan. In August, Mammootty's personal secretary, George Sebastian, shared an update about his undisclosed health battle and informed fans that he has fully recovered. Now, Mammootty has shared a photo of himself, announcing his comeback and leaving fans excited.

Mammootty announced that he is back to doing what he loves the most, expressing his gratitude to those who checked in on him during his health battle. He took to X handle and shared a photo of himself leaning against his car along with a message, that read, “Back to doing what I love most in life after a short break.Words aren’t enough to Thank everyone who checked on me during my absence. The camera is calling…."

Fans' Reaction o Mammootty's Post

One X user wrote, "King is ready," while another commented, "Welcome back ikka."

Mammootty's son and actor Dulquer Salmaan also welcomed 'King' in a special post. He wrote, "After a brief pause, the King returns in style. A true legend never fades. #ReturnOfTheKing"

Joseph also informed that Mammootty will join the Hyderabad schedule for the film.

About Patriot

Besides Mammootty, the film stars Mohanlal, Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, and Darshana Rajendran. The Malayalam movie is one of the most ambitious projects in Mollywood, as it marks the reunion of Mohanlal and Mammootty after almost 16 years.

The Patriot team has reportedly shot in several locations, including UAE, Sri Lanka, and parts of India. The film is expected to hit theatres next year.
