Actor Satendra Soni, well known for his part in Laapataa Ladies, has accused a director of beating and threatening him after a disagreement about outstanding dues. He said he was not paid after eight days of filming in Madhya Pradesh, in a disturbing video shared on Instagram.
Satendra Soni, who posted a teary video to Instagram, said that after asking for his payment, he was forced to leave the set. The actor claimed that the director and his spouse had beaten him.
In Hindi, Satendra Soni said, "My name is Satendra Soni. I am an actor. I had come here to shoot a film whose director is Pushpendra Ji. He had given me Rs 50,000 as a signing amount, and he told me that after this, we would pay you after the shoot. We have completed eight days of shooting today, and when I spoke to him about the money, he asked me to pack up."
The actor revealed that the director told him, "Dekhne nahi chahiye tum hotel mein. Humein marne ki dhamki de rahe hain."

Satendra Soni told his fans in a follow-up post that he and two other artists had made it back to Mumbai. He thanked the Madhya Pradesh Police and everyone who helped them get to the city safely. The actor claimed that before approaching them, the couple allegedly drove after him and two other artists.
