Masti is one of the most popular Bollywood franchises and has become a staple choice for comedy lovers. All the previous parts of Masti have managed to capture the audience’s hearts with bold comedy and great performances by actors like Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani. The fun banter and chemistry between the actors, on and offscreen, have been loved by the viewers. Now, the makers are gearing up to bring back the witty screenplay with an exciting twist. The writer and director of Masti 4, Milap Zaveri, in a recent interview, stated that this time they aim to entertain the audience without shocking them.

Masti 4 is reported to have a different concept this time. As per a report in Pinkvilla, the fourth franchise will showcase the ‘Reverse Masti’ concept. Earlier, all three parts featured the male protagonists having an extramarital affair. But this time, the female leads will also follow their husbands’ footsteps and indulge in extramarital affairs.

"Masti 4 is more of a ‘Reverse Masti’, as the female protagonists will also be indulging in an extra-marital affair. While the first 3 parts revolved around a comedy taking place due to extra-marital affairs of the 3 male protagonists, the fourth one has an exciting arc of a double play between husbands and their wives. All the characters indulge in a comic battle for one-upmanship," the report quoted a source.

The source further revealed, “The storytelling template of Masti 4 is more on the lines of Masti than Grand Masti and Great Grand Masti. It’s a screenplay-driven comedy and also has a little element of thrill in the story. The makers have put together a big ensemble cast to support the three principal characters.”

Milap Zaveri, during a recent interview with TOI, mentioned that he doesn’t want to call Masti 4 an adult film. He revealed that Indra Kumar, who has directed the first three parts, has read the script and complimented him. He even compared the movie to Dhamaal. “One of the compliments Induji gave me when he heard the script was that you’ve written Masti like Dhamaal. It’s got the fun element and it’s naughty,” he said.
