TV star Ram Kapoor has been making news for quite some time now. From his physical transformation to his controversial statements, the actor has managed to stay in the limelight for the past couple of days. He is one of the most popular television actors with a strong screen presence. And a major part of the credit goes to Ektaa Kapoor as their duo has created some memorable shows like Kasamh Se, Kavita and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. However, the much-loved working pair had a recent fallout when Ram Kapoor claimed that Ektaa Kapoor had planned an onscreen kiss between him and Sakshi Tanwar on the show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. The TV queen took some jabs at Ram Kapoor through her social media handles, which sparked a fiery buzz among netizens.

Ram Kapoor finally broke his silence about the ongoing gossip regarding his bond with Ektaa Kapoor. He told Money Control that he had assumed the whole thing to be Ektaa’s idea. He said, "I presumed that whole kiss thing was her idea. She’s the one who informed us. Maybe it was the writers, maybe not. Since she got upset, maybe it wasn’t hers.” He further added, “Whatever she got upset about, I stayed silent. Gautami (his wife) was just having fun on social media. For her, it’s not serious. I thought it would blow over in a few months. It didn’t.”

Expressing his gratitude towards Ektaa for providing him with work, Ram Kapoor said, "Whether I agree or disagree with her comments is not important. How can I disregard all she has done for me? She gave me a platform. I became a household name because of her. So, anything she wants to say about me - even if it's names for the next 10 years - please do so. Nobody in the industry has done what she did for me."

In one of his recent interviews, he also addressed the role of social media in intensifying things and expressed that he doesn’t take social media chatter seriously. "You guys have to realise that for people on social media or some media people who write for them, it's probably a much bigger deal than it is for us. Because honestly, for me, social media is a joke. It's not something to be taken seriously, not even for a day," the actor explained.
