Mika Singh has criticised Diljit Dosanjh for working with Pakistani actor Hania Aamir in his upcoming movie Sardaar Ji 3. The well-known singer took to his Instagram stories to post a message criticising the Punjabi singer-actor for acting 'irresponsibly' for sharing footage that included an artist 'from across the border.'
Mika Singh attacked Diljit Dosanjh, calling him a 'fake singer' and pushing the entertainment sector to put the nation before its own interests amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. 'Think twice' before acting, Mika advised, adding that India comes first. "Desh pehle. Guys, as we all know, the relationship between India and Pakistan isn’t going well right now. Yet some people continue to act irresponsibly. Before releasing any content that involves artists from across the border, they should think twice - especially when our nation’s dignity is involved," he said.
Mika Singh also discussed the fact that Abir Gulaal, which starred Fawad Khan from Pakistan, was not permitted to be shown in Indian theaters. "There was a film featuring Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor that many of us opposed, and yet, some still don’t seem to get the message. What’s more shocking is that a fake singer, after doing 10 shows in India with thousands of fans buying tickets, has now disappeared — leaving fans betrayed and helpless," he added.

The Instagram story, which follows the uproar around Sardaar Ji 3, seems to be a clear jab at Diljit, even though Mika did not specifically identify him. He strongly alludes to Diljit with his use of the term 'fake singer' and references to worldwide tours. However, headshots of Mika and Diljit were included in the now viral post.
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) voiced their opposition to Sardaar Ji 3 and called for a boycott of the movie following the release of the trailer. At a time when ties between India and Pakistan have strained after the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 civilian lives, the fury further sparked with Pak actor Hania Aamir's involvement. Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh initially addressed the topic by informing BBC Asian Network that the movie was filmed earlier this year before political unrest erupted. He went on to say that the producers decided to release the movie abroad in order to reduce losses.
