Moushumi Chatterjee and Raaj Kumar starred in the Bollywood action movie Chambal Ki Kasam. The film, which also starred Shatrughan Sinha and Amjad Khan, was also known for its witty BTS anecdotes, wherein the actress jokingly interrupted Raaj Kumar when he suggested a swimming scene. He reportedly stated that he wanted to include a scene where he and Moushumi Chatterjee would take a pond bath.

Moushumi Chatterjee declined, claiming she can't swim. He immediately retorted, "Johnny! When we're here, why should you be afraid?" She responded, "Raaj ji, if I start drowning, will you save me first or will you take care of your wig?"

Moushumi Chatterjee recalled the times from the set and shared, "Raj Saheb was a very difficult person. He lived in his own world. During the filming of this film, he used to call me Johnny, and I was married at the time. I told him, 'Raj ji, please call me Moushumi.' He said, 'No, Johnny, I will always call you Johnny.' I didn't like his words at all. So the next time he came on set, I asked him where the pyjamas came from."

Moushumi Chatterjee added, "When I called him pyjama, he said, 'You call me pyajama'. The actress replied, 'You don't look like a human being. You came wearing pyjamas, so I named you pyjama. He laughed out loud and said, 'This girl is smart. You're a lioness, your husband must be very scared'. I said, You're amazing. Does a lioness ever live with a jackal?"

The scenario is frequently retold as an example of Moushumi Chatterjee's humour and outspokenness on set, even though they only appeared together in this movie.

Moushumi Chatterjee, also called Indira Chatterjee, made her Bollywood debut with the movie Anurag in 1972. Among the many celebrities she collaborated with were Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra.
