Mrs Deshpande First Look: Madhuri Dixit is making a powerful return to the screen with her new psychological thriller Mrs Deshpande, set to stream soon on JioHotstar. The makers released her first look on Wednesday, leaving fans both surprised and intrigued. The short visual shows Madhuri removing her make-up and jewellery, followed by a stark shift to a shot of her behind bars, hinting at a dramatic and unsettling storyline. Mrs Deshpande is confirmed to be the official Indian adaptation of the popular French thriller La Mante. The original series follows a notorious serial killer who agrees to help the police catch a copycat murderer under one condition that she will only work with her estranged son.

Madhuri Dixit shared a gripping 20-second teaser of the series on her social media, giving fans their first glimpse of her darkest role yet. The clip begins with her gently removing her jewellery and make-up, but suddenly cuts to a shot of her in a prison uniform, flashing a subtle but chilling smirk. The teaser confirms that Madhuri will be playing a dangerous and intimidating serial killer, marking a bold shift from her earlier screen image. Her announcement followed a cryptic Instagram post shared earlier in the day, where she used reimagined lyrics from her iconic songs like “Ek Do Teen Chaar Paanch Cheh Saath Aath” and “Bholi si surat, ankhon mein masti” with the caption “Coming soon,” leaving fans guessing about the reveal.

Although the creators have kept most details under wraps, the teaser alone has sparked intense curiosity. The series is produced by Applause Entertainment in association with Kukunoor Movies and is directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. The unexpected teaser has left audiences stunned, as Madhuri steps into one of the most intense characters of her career.
