After days of speculations, Munmun Dutta and Asit Kumar Modi have finally broken their silence on her and Dilip Joshi's exit from the popular TV sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. While Munmun Dutta plays the role of Babita, Dilip Joshi essays the role Jethalal and their chemistry has been cherished by the show's fans and followers.
On Monday, Munmun Dutta took to her Instagram handle and dropped a video of herself from the set of TMKOC. She mentioned in the caption, "Rumours are always not true." Watch the clip here:
Later, Asit Modi also Asit Kumarr Modi, the producer of the show, also addressed recent rumours surrounding the exit of key cast members. According to a report in Bollywood Life, he confirmed that both actors are indeed part of the show and were only temporarily unable to shoot due to personal reasons. Modi dismissed the rumors as baseless, attributing them to the media's tendency to spread gossip. He emphasised the importance of the characters Babita Ji and Jethalal, who have been integral to the show since its inception and assured fans that they remain a crucial part of the series.
Having been part of TMKOC since its inception, Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta's chemistry has become an integral part of the show. Their characters have been widely loved by audiences and fans are eagerly awaiting their return to the screen.

The current Bhootni plot doesn't feature the iconic duo, sparking rumours about their potential exit from the show. In the ongoing storyline, the Gokuldham society members are on a vacation in a haunted bungalow, but Jethalal and Babita Ji are noticeably absent. Other characters like Bapu Ji, Popatlal, Sodhi and Taarak Mehta have joined Anjali on this vacation. However, Munmun Dutta has herself refuted all the rumours surrounding her exit from the show.
